Tutorial: How to make Flowers

Ongeveer 2 weken terug liet ik jullie een nailart zien waarbij ik zelf met de hand bloemen gemaakt had. Vele vroegen zich af hoe ik deze bloemen gemaakt had en of het nou moeilijk is zo'n bloem. Ik kan je alvast verklappen dat het ontzettend simpel is en helemaal niet veel tijd kost! In deze fototutorial ga ik jullie stap voor stap laten zien hoe je een bloem kan tekenen op je nagels!

About 2 weeks ago I showed you a nailart with handmade flowers. Some of you asked me how I made those flowers and if it's hard to make it. Well I can tell you it isn't hard at all, and it doesn't cost much time. Today I'm going to show you this phototutorial with step by step pictures how you can make your own flowers on your nails.

Bovenstaande producten heb ik gebruikt voor de nailart. Je kunt zelf beslissen welke kleur voor de french manicure je gebruikt (ik heb Catrice - Dirty Berry) gebruikt, en welke kleuren je gebruikt voor de bloem. Ik heb Color Club - Vintage Couture, Catrice - Plum Play With Me, Max - Black en La Femme Beauty - White (oke dit potje is half leeg en tevens het derde potje welke ik gebruik!). Verder heb je een nailart kwastje nodig (of een gewoon klein kwastje, cocktailprikkers oid) en een dottingtool.

I used above product for this nailart. You can decide for yourself which colours you want to use. I decided to use Catrice - Dirty Berry for the french Manicure and Color Club - Vintage Couture, Catrice - Plum Play With Me, Max - Black and La Femme Beauty - White (this bottle is half empty and the 3rd bottle i'm using!) for the flowers. Further you'll need a nailart brush (or other small brush or toothpick oid) and a dottingtool.

Stap 1: Begin met het maken van een french manicure op al je nagels. Je hoeft niet zo super voorzichtig te doen het is niet erg als je een beetje kliedert op je nagelriemen, dit maken we op het eind gewoon schoon. Laat de french manicure even heel goed drogen!

Step 1: Start with the French Manicure. You don't have to work very neatly, you can mess a little bit that's not a big problem we clean that up later. Make sure you let the French Manicure dry very well!

Stap 2: Pak de kleur die je de bloemblaadjes wilt geven. Ik heb voor de blaadjes Color Club - Vintage Couture gebruikt. Beslis voor jezelf ook op welke nagels je de bloemen wilt, ik heb ervoor gekozen om op mijn duimen en ringvingers de bloemen te maken, maar je kunt ze ook op al je nagels doen natuurlijk. Nu neem je het nailart kwastje en maak je voorzichtig 3 bloemblaadjes zoals ik hierboven heb gedaan, het hoeft niet perfect uiteraard, zoals je kunt zien ziet het er bij mij ook niet perfect uit zo!

Step 2: Take the colour which you want to use for your flower petals. I used Color Club - Vintage Couture. Decide for yourself where you want the flowers, I made the flowers on my thumbs and ringfingers, but you can do all your nails with these flowers if you want to. Alright take your nailart brush and paint 3 little petals, they don't have to be perfect, like you can see on my picture above mine aren't perfect either.

Stap 3: Neem nu de kleur waar je de details mee wilt maken. Ik heb een gewone zwarte nagellak genomen om de details rond de bloemblaadjes mee te maken. Begin met 2 streepjes rond de buitenkant van ieder bloemblaadje, doe dit voorzichtig en neem niet teveel nagellak op je kwastje anders wordt het een rommeltje. Als je alle buitenste streepjes gemaakt hebt, ga je voorzichtig in het midden van het bloemblaadje een kort streepje zetten. Als het goed is moet het er dan een beetje uitzien zoals bovenstaand.

Step 3: Take the colour where you want to make the details with. I used a regular black polish for the details around the petals. Start with 2 thin stripes at the outside of each petal, be carefull and don't take to much polish on your brush or else it will be messed up. Now make a thin stripe in the middle of the petal also with the same polish. If you did a good job it will look something like above picture.

Stap 4: Neem nu weer een andere kleur nagellak die een beetje past bij de kleur van de bloemblaadjes hiermee ga je de laatste details maken. Ik heb hier een paarse lak van Catrice gebruikt genaamd Plum Play With Me. Met het nailart kwastje heb ik 2 dunne streepjes gemaakt tussen de bloemblaadjes in.

Step 4: Now you're gonna take another nailpolish for the last details. Take a nailpolish which fits the colour of the petals. I choosed for a purple nailpolish from Catrice named Plum Play With Me. With the nailart brush you're gonna paint 2 thin stripes between the petals.

Stap 5: Welke tevens de laatste stap is. Nu gaan we gebruik maken van de dottingtool en in mijn geval de witte nagellak. Neem het kleinste rondje van de dottingtool, doe er wat nagellak op en maak een aantal random stipjes in het hart van de bloem. Voila en nu is de bloem helemaal klaar! Uiteraard is het nu ook het moment om alle overtollige nagellak rond de nagelriemen te verwijderen.

Step 5: This is the last step to finish your flower. Now we're gonna use the dottingtool and in my case the white nailpolish. Take the smallest round on your dottingtool and dip it into the nailpolish. Now you're making some random dots in the heart of the flower. Voila that's it! Your flower is done now! Ofcourse it's time to remove all the excess polish round your cuticles now.

 Dit is dan het eindresultaat! De bloemen ogen erg chique en zijn zoals je zelf hebt kunnen zien in deze tutorial absoluut niet moeilijk om te maken! Have fun!
